I live with myhusband Michele and our daughter Matilde in the country with our hounds.
Our dogs live in the garden at strict contact with us, all the adult sleep in the house, I don t want that the dogs live in the kennel, the IW are too sensible to live their own in kennel or paddock, they live in the garden and for stimulate their body and brain we go everyday out in the country for a long walk, why they live so close with us I care a lot about the temperament.
My aim is of producing iwh houndly, with a lot of shape in top and underline, I like dogs with long legs, balance in body and temperament, with good front and a well angulated shoulder strong in body but elegant.
I like the good mover and specially dogs who keep a goodshape in the movement, in my opinion an IW need to have a coat very compact and quite short, waterproof and not shuggy at all.
I m a vet and I test all the puppies for liver shunt, all the adult are regulary checked from a cardiology with ecodoppler, all they are eye tested and rx elbows, before reproduce them and at least every two years.
I m an international judge for Fci from 1996 and I judged in Italy, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Sweden Estonia, Ungary, Canada, USA…
I like to judge the specialty all over the world to understand better the breed.
